I arrived in Taiwan in August '05. As an elementary school teacher from Toronto, I took a leave of absence 2 pursue a teaching position at a public school in Douliu City, Taiwan. Teaching is my passion & it has led me to Taiwan. God opened the door for me..This is my story and my journey..Pls read my testimony on this blog: "Live Strong"...(Nov. archives) "My food, is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work". Chiayi City

Today is Ching Ming Festival (Tomb Sweeping Day) and I had the day off. Tomb Sweeping Day is a day where people go to visit their ancestors at their resting place, bring food, fruit and incense, pray, visit, as well as sweep the tomb. I didn't have to do that so....I went to visit my friends Joyce and Denise (2 other foreign teachers in Taiwan) in Chiayi City. We enjoyed lunch together, hanging out, doing a lot of catching up....and getting our hair cut! It was a great day to see each other!

Mohawk-do! Getting my hair washed....

With Joyce @ the Chiayi Tower looking down!

Denise on the glass floor!

Glass Floor...YIKES!
